A dedicated campaigner, James Cowling first started volunteering at age fifteen during a local by-election. Since then, he has served the party as a candidate and in numerous association roles, most recently as Chairman of his local federation.
Professionally, he is a political consultant advising companies on government policy. He specialises in financial services and technology and has advised many of the UK's leading firms. He started his career in Parliament, working for a Secretary of State.
James is the Founder and Managing Director of the campaign group Next Gen Tories, which advocates for a Conservative approach to winning back voters under the age of forty-five. He is also an Associate Fellow of Bright Blue and the Aspen Institute, and a political commentator.
